Gerald (Gerry) Buegler, 78

Gerald (Gerry)  Buegler, 78, of Baudette, MN, passed away on May 28, 2025, at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.   

Gerry worked for many years as the owner of Baudette Insurance Agency and interwove himself within his community via the First Lutheran Church, Rotary Club, as a volunteer youth baseball coach, and as an EMT/first responder.   

Gerry liked to present as gruff, but he was a kind-hearted softie who always had a smile and a kind word for anyone he met.  He enjoyed all things outdoors, including fishing, hunting, and camping.  More than anything, Gerry cherished time with his grandchildren. 

 Gerry is preceded in death by his father, Walter Buegler, and mother, Edna (McGuire) Buegler, and sister, Elmerna Buegler.   He is survived by his wife Monica (Hedtke) Buegler whom he loved dearly, his children: Christie (Maverick) Russell, Wally (Olivia) Buegler, and Eric Buegler, his grandchildren Nolan and Aviana Buegler, and his sisters: Janice Younkin, Lori Buegler, Connie Buegler, Luann Christian, and Nyla OConnell. 

A long road of medical ailments met a victorious end as he was surrounded by family and enveloped in love.  We are saddened by his passing, but rejoice in his relief.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
