Steve Ryan Cooper passed away on March 5, 2026, after a life lived to the fullest.
Steve was a proud father of two men, husband of almost 40 years, and family man who loved his large family. Having 3 sisters growing up in Woodland made for constant fun.
Steve earned his dream jobs flying float and ski planes for Baudette Flying Service and then flew for Marvin Windows flight department for over 25 years. Steve held every flight rating available except multi-engine sea and accumulated over 25,000 hours in flight. “Beats working” was his constant response.
He was a member of Duluth Superior Sailing Association and enjoyed boating Lake of the Woods and Lake Superior. Steve is survived by his loving wife, JoLynn, sons Ryan (Kelli) Cooper and Joe Cooper, his mother, Diane, and three sisters, Lisa (Scott) Torvinen, Nancy (Dave) Kohlhaas, and Julie (Dave) Clarke, and many nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of
Steve’s life will be held at Steve's home in 5013 County Rd 8, NW, Williams, MN, on May 23, 2026. Please bring memories to share.
