City of Williams Meeting Minutes
April 21, 2025
Call to Order
Mayor C. Lundsten called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Minutes
Council Member J. Klicker made a motion to approve the March 10th meeting minutes. Council Member G. VanDeHey seconded the motion, with it passing unanimously.
New Business
Clerk Nicholson asked the Council for permission to advertise for summer help. Summer help to be paid $15.45 per hour. Council Member J. Kukowski made a motion to hire summer help at $15.45 per hour. The motion was seconded by Council Member J. Klicker, with it passing unanimously.
The Council discussed the tax forfeit properties within the city limits of Williams. After some discussion, Council Member G. VanDeHey made a motion to allow Lake of the Woods County to put up for sale the tax forfeit properties that are within the city limits of Williams. The motion was seconded by Council Member J. Klicker, with it passing unanimously.
The Council discussed the need for a haying bid for property owned by the City of Williams. After some discussion, Council Member J. Kukowski made a motion to advertise for bids for haying property owned by the City of Williams, and that annual plowing around the field may be considered in lieu of cash. The motion was seconded by Council Member J. Klicker, with it passing unanimously.
The Council discussed the liability insurance. After some discussion, Council Member J. Klicker made a motion to keep existing coverage and NOT add the additional coverage offered. The motion was seconded by J. Kukowski, with it passing unanimously.
Council Member J. Klicker spoke with the Council about instituting a city wide clean up day. After some discussion, Council Member J. Kukowski agreed to speak with the Williams Youth Recreation Association to try to get this event planned.
Council Member J. Klicker spoke with the Council about beginning a Williams Yard of the Month program. After some discussion, Council Member J. Klicker agreed to speak with the Northern Lights Region about this program.
Old Business
There was nothing new to discuss about the Vault Toilets.
Committees
Parks, Streets and Sewer – Nothing New.
Ordinance – Nothing new.
Library - Nothing new.
Finance, Budget and Personnel – Nothing new.
Claims
Council Member J. Kukowski moved to approve the paid claims. Council member J. Klicker seconded the motion, with it passing unanimously.
Adjournment
Council Member J. Kukowski made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:18 p.m. Council Member J. Klicker seconded the motion, with it passing unanimously.
